Journal profile

Studies and Scientific Researches. Economics Edition (SCECO) is a peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access academic journal publishing original research in economics, business, and public policy. The journal has a distinct focus on emerging and transition economies, with a particular emphasis on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and welcomes interdisciplinary approaches and work addressing regional development, structural change, and policy in these contexts.

SCECO is committed to academic rigor, policy relevance, and global accessibility. As a Diamond Open Access journal, it charges no article processing charges (APCs) to authors and levies no fees on readers. All articles are published in English, under the CC BY 4.0 license, and are assigned a DOI.

Aims and scope (summary)

The journal advances scholarly understanding of the economics of emerging and transition economies, with a primary focus on Central and Eastern Europe. Submissions concerning other emerging or developing regions are welcome where they demonstrate clear methodological rigor and explicit comparative relevance to the broader development and transition debate.
