About the Journal

SCECO — Studies and Scientific Researches. Economics Edition is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal publishing high-quality original research in economics, business, and public policy. The journal is a platform for interdisciplinary work that connects theoretical insight with practical relevance, welcoming both conceptual advances and applied studies with clear societal, policy, or managerial implications.

SCECO focuses on the economics of emerging and transition economies, with a particular emphasis on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) — including comparative analyses across post-transition economies and emerging markets. We welcome empirical studies, policy evaluations, and theoretically grounded investigations addressing economic development, digital transformation, ESG frameworks, innovation ecosystems, entrepreneurship, inclusive governance, and sustainable business strategies. Work on other emerging or developing regions is welcome where it offers clear comparative relevance to this debate.

Under its Diamond Open Access model, SCECO charges authors no submission or publication fees, and all articles are freely available worldwide under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license. This reflects the journal's commitment to open science, academic equity, and the unrestricted dissemination of knowledge to researchers and practitioners alike.

Whether you are an author seeking a transparent publishing platform, a reader exploring contemporary challenges in economics and business, or a reviewer supporting academic rigor, SCECO invites your participation in a journal that values quality, accessibility, and regional relevance on an international stage.
