Open Access Policy

Studies and Scientific Researches. Economics Edition (SCECO) is a fully Diamond Open Access journal, meaning that both readers and authors benefit from free access and free publication.

No article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or publication costs are applied at any stage. We believe that knowledge should be accessible to everyone, without financial, legal, or technical barriers.

All articles published in SCECO are available immediately upon publication, without restriction, and may be freely accessed, downloaded, shared, and reused under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

What Open Access Means for Authors and Readers

At SCECO, open access is not only about removing paywalls — it reflects a commitment to maximizing the visibility, dissemination, and impact of scientific research.

By publishing with us, authors ensure that their work reaches:

  • Academics and students worldwide
  • Policymakers, business leaders, and practitioners
  • The broader public, including those without access to subscription databases

Our open-access model facilitates faster knowledge transfer, supports scientific collaboration, and enhances the societal relevance of research.

Our Commitment to Open Science

By adopting a Diamond Open Access model with a CC BY 4.0 license, SCECO aligns with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge.

We firmly support responsible research dissemination, transparency, and equitable access to academic knowledge across disciplines and regions, with particular attention to fostering the visibility of research from and about emerging and transition economies, and Central and Eastern Europe in particular.
