Rationale

Energy transitions and climate change management are at the heart of global debates on sustainability, requiring insights that connect economics, finance, business, management, and public policy. This special issue seeks to provide a scholarly forum for innovative and interdisciplinary perspectives, with a particular emphasis on applied research and policy-relevant contributions.

Sub-Themes (non-exhaustive):
  • The role of economics in energy transitions: forecasting, structural transformations, and cost-benefit analysis.

  • Business innovations for energy transition: governance, market creation, and sustainable competitiveness.

  • Management strategies for sustainable energy and climate change action.

  • Public policy, regulation, and institutional reforms in energy transition.

  • Finance and accounting innovations: green finance, carbon pricing, integrated reporting.

  • Development policies: inclusive growth, inequality reduction, regional convergence, and just transition frameworks.

  • Comparative studies across Europe (with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe), Africa, the Americas, and Asia.

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the journal’s guidelines (APA 7th edition, double-blind review process). Submissions must be made via the journal’s online platform: https://sceco.ub.ro/SCECO/.

All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review. Selected papers from the 1st Global Leadership and Sustainability Symposium are welcome, but acceptance is subject to the journal’s standard review process. Contributions from Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia are strongly encouraged.
