Knowing the whole population, the role and the place of each person in the reproduction of the population, in the economic and social activity, as well as the correlated analysis on age and sex groups is essential in order to ground economic and social policies. The comparative approach, considering the evolution of the population as well as the main demographic phenomena, aims to assess the demographic situation in Bacau County, Romania, as well as in the Central Region of the Republic of Moldova, over a period of 9 years (2007-2015). In order to quantify the complex demographic situation in the two territorial units for statistics, we took into consideration a relatively small number of indicators, the most relevant ones, which should underline the evolution from a demographic point of view.Downloads
